Onward...

Some bugs from all the work:

- The gas gauge either needs a new sending unit (probably the original or close to it) or a resister. The gauge reads 1/2 when the tank is empty. Have to be careful or I'll be that sight on the side of the road. Experimentation with this requires draining the tank. This won't be fun.

- My wheel alignment is off, somewhat. I adjusted the toe-in with the new steering wheel but I don't think I got it all the way accurate.

- Adjust the turn signal cam ever-so-slightly

- Need to install the relay for the trunk button on the key fobs. Currently the trunk is opened only with the button under the dash

- Adjust trunk latch

- Figure out what I'm going to do with tail lights. I've got a mis-matched setup currently (one LED BULB and one LED panel).

Catching up

I lost my mojo for blogging after I lost it due to GOOG account shuffling.

2009 has been a busy year for the Mustang thus far - partly because with the help of Shawndee I've gotten my life back to the way it was before I got married.

I've accomplished the following since December:

- New brakes all the way around: new shoes, wheel cylinder and flexible hoses in the front.

- Welded in subframe connectors

- Repaired the power steering cylinder bracket....twice.

- Patched the rear body where the side marker lights once were

- Rubber-undercoated the trunk, under hood, and under the front floor pans

- Installed power door lock kit I got for my birthday

- Installed a new fan shroud

- Fixed the busted right rear quarter window crank

- New door panels

- New gauge cluster + lots of new wiring and sending units

- New steering wheel

- Fixed the horn...finally

- Installed power trunk release and wired into power door lock fob.
